On December 8, 2001, CrossPathCulture will present Dinkies Sitholes African Experience and Olabayo Olaniyis An African In America, two performance pieces that will bring to life CrossPathCultures ongoing visual arts exhibition, All Access.
All Access is an exhibition featuring 11 international artists which explores cultural stereotypes and global identity. All Access challenges participants to reconsider regional, race-based and religious assumptions. At the same time, it pushes the creative boundaries of the artists themselves, as they explore new forms and mediums. The installations and sculptures presented in All Access reflect immediate political and cultural concerns, such as the recent terrorist and military exchanges. They also explore long-standing issues of identity and alienation, attempting to position the individual within the context of both modern and ancient forms of tribalism, nationalism and globalism. Our opening reception was attended by over 1,000 people, and has attracted over 250 daily since. The exhibition is open to the public 11am - 7pm, Tuesday - Sunday, or by appointment until January 9th, 2002. Please take a moment to view the gallery for each artist below.
