Gerard Pas was born in Valkensward, The Netherlands, and now resides in London, Canada, where he studied Special Arts at the H.B. Beal Technical School. His paintings and sculptures seek to "archive the fraility of the human condition-and condition the human archive to our fraility." Recent exhibitions include shows at the Cologne Art Fair in Germany, the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto and the CPC co-sponsored exhibit, "Lineage," at the Dumbo Arts Center, New York. In February 2001, Gerard Pas will have a retrospective at the London Regional Art and Historical Museum, Canada. He has taught advanced classes on the philosophy of drawing at Fanshaw College in London, Canada.
