At some point or another, I have dabbled in virtually all forms of artistic expression, beginning before my first birthday when I began creating decidedly inpermanent installations with assorted pieces of scrapwood given to me by my parents in a rope-handled wooden wagon. Since my early days as a sculptor, I have studied music (guitar and electronic composition and production), drawing, painting, drama, creative writing and journalism. At The Key School, in Annapolis Maryland, I edited both the literary magazine Zenith (which regularly featured my poetry), as well as the student newspaper Iskra, where I also wrote a regular humor column, Rod and Gun. I also appeared in numerous stage productions during middle and high school, but my career as a dramatist was cut short when I showed up late to a weekend rehearsal of Grease holding a half-eaten Subway sandwich and a box of Hot Tamales, and my divinely ordained role of Sonny was forever lost, along with much of my theatrical dignity.

Once out of high school, at Vassar College, I gave the stage one more chance, appearing (alongside CPC webmaster Brian Grosz) in Woody Allen's God as "tall chorus boy" but have not performed since. Instead, I concentrated on a Philosophy major, the founding of an outdoor education program for children at the Vassar farm, and regular work with the Program for Substance Information, the school's student-run drug education group.

I graduated from Vassar in May and I am living in the East Village, working fulltime for CPC and part time for an advertising agency, while trying to get a visa to spend the next year in Paris. I spend my free time working on a novel, and trying to teach Cannon how to use a computer.
