David Koloane earned a degree in Museum Studies from the University of London after
studying at the
Bill Ainslie Studios in Johannesburg and the Polly Street Art Center, under the
tutelage of the distingushed African artist Louis Maghubela. With Anslie, Koloane
instituted the Thupelo Art Project, a series of two week workshops currently held in
Zimbabwe, Botswanna, Mozambique and Zambia. He has also served as curator for a
number of exhibitions, including "Art From South Africa" at the Museum of Modern
Art at Oxford. His own artwork is held by a number of distingushed private and
public collections in Africa, Europe and the U.S.
